The 2009 Alpine Rally DVD is now available with 2 full DVDs of dust choking action. The Motorsport Memories Australia crew covered all the action at the front of the event as well as covering all cars where possible. This DVD also includes incar from the Porsche 911 of Jeff David and the Datsun 1600 of Carl Stewart.

In 2008, the annual Colin McRae Forest Stages was organised as a fitting tribute to Britain's 1995 World Rally Champion, featuring five classic Scottish forest stages contested by a veritable who's who from the sport's history, all wishing to honour the late Colin McRae. Among those joining Colin's dad Jimmy and brother Alister to pay tribute were his former co-drivers Derek Ringer and Nicky Grist. A host of famous names packed the top end of the entry list, including World Champions Bjorn Waldegard, Hannu Mikkola, Louise Aitken-Walker and Ari Vatanen, reunited with Prodrive boss David Richards for the first time since their 1981 world title triumph. US rally stars John Buffum, Ken Block and the inspirational Travis Pastrana made the long trip across the Atlantic to remember their X-Games team mate. British champions Russell Brookes and Malcolm Wilson were persuaded to dust off their helmets again, whilst inaugral London-Sydney marathon winner and former Mitsubishi Ralliart boss Andrew Cowan would steal the show with his immaculate Hillman Imp. King of the two wheel drive entertainers, both in and out of the car, Phil Collins debuted his recently built Opel Ascona, whilst hard-charging Kris Meeke provided a spectacle for the throngs of spectators drawn to the Perthshire stages. The legends all competed in two wheel drive cars, with the line-up of machinery including classics such as the MkI and MkII Escort, Porsche 911, Opel Ascona 400, Talbot Sunbeam Lotus and the unique Hillman Imp. Current World Rally Championship talent was also on show in the form of Matthew Wilson, competing in the main field in his WRC Ford Focus. This Official Review of the event features action from more than 40 miles of some of the best gravel stages in the UK and includes in-car footage of the spectacular crashes of both Jimmy McRae and Kris Meeke. Eden NSW, the home of the Southern Mountains Rally, played host to 50 of Australia’s best rally crews on the weekend of November 1st & 2nd. The crews competed over arguably some of the best rally roads this country has to offer. This DVD covers all cars that competed in the event.

The weekend of November 24 & 25 played host to 100 of the best Classic and 2 wheel drive rally cars and crews in Australia as they competed over arguably some of the best rally roads this country has to offer. There were 380 km of competitive stages including an awesome 35km stage on bitumen. Spectators once again were treated to a host of exciting vantage points and some new, never before used points that kept the excitement flowing all weekend. The GK Denney Tyres Coffs Coast Rally started on Saturday with a super special stage at the Pacific Bay Resort. Then the crews tackled the fast forest stages north west of Coffs Harbour. The dry and dusty conditions determined the result of the event with a late stage charge by the Wingham crew of Dave Darby and Shane Griffis.This DVD is a visual treat for the rally fan with no commentary just the sights and sounds of cars driven on the limit. In 2007 the event was conducted as a round of the NSW championship.

The Bega Valley Motors Rally was run under blue skies and mild weather on the Queen’s Birthday weekend around the NSW south coast town of Bega, and saw the traditional interstate challenge between NSW and Victorian competitors. The final result changed the NSW Rally Championship standings after the two rounds run so far, with the current leader exiting the rally on the first stage. In 2007 the event was conducted as a round of the NSW championship and the Classic Rally Car Challange. The NSW state rally series finally kicked off on Saturday May 12 with the running of the inaugural Car Auctions Sydney Rally of Lithgow. Run by the North Shore Sporting Car Club, the event was the result of the decision to have at least two pacenoted events in 2007. So the fast and technical roads near Jenolan This DVD also contains in-car footage from the Toyota Corolla of David Nightingale/ Mathew James, the Lancer Evo 1 of Richard Leitis/Robin Mules and the Lancer Evo 9 of Glenn Brinkman/Steve Richardson. The Otago Rally takes place on the beautiful south island of New Zealand. In 2007, the rally will once again run to the south of Dunedin with a central service park based on the lakeside village of Waihola. The event consists of pre event motorshow and publicity stage at Forbury Park then 13 special stages covering 240km – all in daylight.

Disc 1 Contains footage of all competitors from the event including Classic, New Zealand Championship and Xtreme Challenge. Run Time 1hr 55min.

The 2007 Hampton Rallysprint is the first event on the AMSAG calendar. The event is run around the forests of Hampton near Jenolin Caves. Featured cars are Datsun 1600/1200/Sunny, Evo Lancer, Lancer, Porsche and others. From the word go crews push their cars to the limit with some great driving on display. !!! All cars covered !!! The Decades of Dato's volume 1 DVD takes a cameramans look at the Datsun 1600/P510 through the years 1977-1987. This DVD is a treat for the Datsun fan with no commentary just the sounds of 'L' Series engines (and some ring-ins) in forest rallies and rallysprints.This DVD contains some never before released footage of Datsuns in competion. Great old school stuff that will bring the memories flooding back. Run Time 1 hour 24 minutes. This DVD is available in PAL and NTSC.

Featured cars are Datsun 1600/Sprinter/Escort/RX3 etc. Spins are the order of the day with the crowd urging the drivers to have a go. Historic rallies are back on the North Coast of NSW.

2005 Southern Cross Rally DVD

 

The AMSAG SUNDOWNER BREAKWALL TOURIST PARK RALLY is one of the premier historic rally events on the N.S.W north coast. The event is contested with fast flowing stages near Wauchope and as usual the popular spectator point near Timbertown. Featured cars are Datsun 1600/180B/Lancer/etc. Moments are the order of the day with the crowd urging the drivers to have a go. The event ran over two days and a great time was had by all.

WHAT IS THE SOUTHERN CROSS RALLY SERIES
The Australian Motor Sport Action Group (AMSAG) is a non profit association of some 300+ members which run motor rallies in country New South Wales.

The Cars
In true Southern Cross spirit, all cars have to be a model which was first manufactured prior to 31st December, 1990. No forced induction is allowed ie turbo or supercharger.
